Here on this page of our website is a little information on our director and our teachers that work here. We provide
a little history of the people and how they came to be here.
At Gentle Hearts Infant Care, we have a very dedicated and loving group of individuals as our teachers. They are
all very qualified with at least a 4 year degree in Early Childhood Education. Every year they are reviewed of their
accomplishments and also needs for improvement. We strive to have the most qualified individuals for our progam so the
infants have an enriching and positive experience while they are here.
Director and Lead Teacher
The director and lead teacher of our infant care program is Sara Benson. She grew up in Mankato, MN and upon graduating
from Mankato East High School, decided to continue her education at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She graduated
from the University of Minnesota Duluth, in 2000, with a Bachelor in Applied Science and a degree in Early Childhood
Studies. Her first position was in another care center in Bloomington working as a co-teacher in a infant/toddler
setting. She worked there for 3 years before deciding that she wanted to start a program on her own. During 2003,
she was able to get the money she needed to start up her program and that is when Gentle Hearts Infant
Care blossomed and became successful.
Sara is wonderful with the children. She shows caring, compassion, love, and warmth to everyone she comes
across. When she is with the children, they are her first priority and she treats every one as a person
who is unique in their own way. She is great to have in our program.
